Why Use PlayPosit?
Are you looking to super-charge engagement for your students? PlayPosit might be the tool for you! PlayPosit is a video engagement platform that allows you to engage your students while watching videos in a way that promotes learning by increasing attention and requiring action from your students. What’s great about PlayPosit is that you can:
- upload videos from many platforms, including 3CMedia, YouTube, Canvas Studio, or your device.
- mix videos, including your own along with curated videos from other sources, into one bulb.
- create your own bulbs, or use bulbs shared by others in your organization or across the PlayPosit network.
- add pre-existing question templates into your bulbs, or create your own.
- customize the controls, allowing students to skip, fast forward, or retry your bulbs.
- make your bulbs accessible, such as adding captions or customizing playback speed.
- add hotspots and pauses to engage your students in deeper reflection as they learn.
- create playlists with mixed media content.
- add jumps to scaffold and customize the learning experience for your students
- embed assignments directly into Canvas and sync them with the Canvas Gradebook.
- use it in both asynchronous and synchronous learning environments.
Best of all, PlayPosit aligns with the guidelines of Universal Design for Learning (UDL). For example:
- multiple means of engagement by optimizing choice and autonomy through branched learning.
- multiple means of representation by selecting opportunities to customize the display of information.
- multiple means of action & expression by building fluencies with graduated support for practice and performance.
These are just a few ways in which PlayPosit aligns with UDL, and allows you to create engaging and interactive learning experiences that promote learner agency.
