A course communication policy provides a framework for interactions between you and your students, and among the students themselves.
In this workshop, you will develop an effective communication policy for your D2L course site, including:
- Course orientation and participation guidelines
- Methods for students to contact you, how often, and under what circumstances
- Response time for students to expect replies to voicemail, email, and dropbox assignments
- Instructions for students to login for office hours, what technology you will use, and where to retrieve the posted archives
- Location of syllabus, college information, and technology help option
- Netiquette topics
- Tips for maximizing visibility of the policy for your students
Come to this workshop, and leave with an accreditation ready communication policy.
