Thanks to everyone who responded to the anonymous Spring 2025 Accessibility Needs Survey. The results are in and I’m excited to share those results and my plan to meet the accessibility needs that were identified. This session won’t be a step-by-step tutorial on creating accessible content. Instead, I’ll briefly cover some accessibility basics, then dive into the good stuff – actual resources you can use immediately.

I’ll be highlighting existing self-guided resources available through the Instructional Technology Center (ITC) Accessibility pages to help you make accessible content, as well as available District Accessibility Supports to have your content made accessible for you! In addition, I’ll announce the accessibility “how-to” workshop series that I’ll be offering to address the needs that were identified in the survey results.

Most importantly this workshop will be an opportunity for you to get answers to questions that might be keeping you from taking that next accessibility step. Join me and we can take that next step together!

This activity meets State PD Guidelines A, B, & C; ARC Strategic Goal 1 Students First and Goal 3 Exemplary Teaching, Learning, and Working Environment; ARC Professional Development Competencies: Equity-minded Service, Effective Communication, and Technology Proficiency. Attendance at this professional development activity is limited to LRCCD employees and invited participants.
