CAST & American River College Present: Introduction to UDL

Color coded matrix of the Universal Design for Learning Framework.

Facilitators: Luis Perez (CAST) and Lori Hokerson, Universal Design and Accessibility Coordinator (ITC)

Are you looking for an innovative, high quality instructional method that promotes student and faculty engagement, increases student satisfaction, and decreases faculty workload? It’s called Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and the Instructional Technology Center (ITC) is excited to announce that CAST is coming to ARC to provide a 90 minute overview of the UDL framework. UDL is an instructional design approach that creates a barrier-free learning environment by emphasizing student abilities and being learner-centered. Best of all, UDL is intentionally focused on supporting student groups at ARC who are disproportionately impacted, however in doing so, it  benefits all students in the process!  Join us to learn more about UDL and future training opportunities that are available to ARC faculty, staff, and administrators.
