Join us as we explore three California Community Colleges initiatives that will integrate, improve, and evolve existing technology services for the benefit of all California community college students and colleges. The Online Education Initiative (OEI) will increase the number of students who obtain college associate degrees and transfer to four-year colleges each year by providing online courses and services within a statewide CCC Online Education learning environment. The Education Planning Initiative (EPI) will use centralized and integrated technology solutions to better guide students to define and achieve their educational goals, while streamlining the process and providing support to faculty and staff that use the system. The Common Assessment Initiative (CAI) will develop a Common Assessment System that will contain: test preparation; test delivery; test administration; data collection and course placement guidance.

The directors of the OEI and CAI as well as the Communications Director for the CCC Technology Center will speak about the goals of the initiatives, the history that led to their creation and current status. A Q&A session will follow the talk.
