Los Rios Canvas Development Site closes on March 24
Before we got the official Canvas instance @ http://canvas.losrios.edu, many of you were practicing on a development site (https://losrios.instructure.com). If you have any work on that site, please export that content before March 24. Contact the ITC if you need assistance with this.
Turnitin to VeriCite
If you use Turnitin, you will want to watch this video. The District’s contract with Turnitin ends on June 30, 2017, and we are currently reviewing the OEI-endorsed plagiarism detection tool, VeriCite. This platform is comparable to Turnitin and is fully ADA compliant.

The steps for adding people to your course have been updated to include more options. When you choose People from the course Navigation menu on the left of your course, the Add People window includes options for adding students by email (w1234567@apps.losrios.edu), by Login ID (w1234567), or by SIS ID (w1234567). This is the process for using the ubiquitous w-id:
You will see the student name displayed, and if it is correct select the Add Users button. You can also select Cancel or Start Over.
