A course communication policy provides a framework for interactions between you and your students, and among the students themselves.

In this workshop, you will develop an effective communication policy for your D2L course site, including:

  • Course orientation and participation guidelines
  • Methods for students to contact you, how often, and under what circumstances
  • Response time for students to expect replies to voicemail, email, and dropbox assignments
  • Instructions for students to login for office hours, what technology you will use, and where to retrieve the posted archives
  • Location of syllabus, college information, and technology help option
  • Netiquette topics
  • Tips for maximizing visibility of the policy for your students
